Every year, Livermore, set in the heart of Wine Country, hosts an array of events. Livermore Valley has something for everyone, whether you like sipping on spirits or running half marathons. The beautiful location lends itself to many annual spring events and festivals, as well as fun for the summer leading into the fall. Here are 10 annual events you cannot miss in Livermore:

St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin & Shamrock 5K Fun Run & Walk – March 13

Calling all runners and walkers. This event is the best way to celebrate the Irish holiday. You can celebrate in Dublin, California. No, not the real Dublin, but we like to think it’s a pretty close second! The city is only 6 miles west of Livermore. After the race, expect to mingle, enjoy the company of others, sip on some cool refreshments, and enjoy entertainment and prizes.

Livermore Valley’s 7th Annual Barrel Tasting Weekend – March 19 and March 20

Livermore is one of the many towns throughout California’s Wine Country showcasing wine. Barrel Tasting Weekend is an anticipated event year-round. You’ll get to taste wines immediately out of the barrel, meet and talk with people in the wine industry, and explore many participating Livermore Valley wineries.

Livermore Half Marathon – March 26

Serious runners, this one’s for you. Burn off some steam with a half marathon and immediately reward yourself with a glass of wine from one of the 13 wineries at the Finish Line.

40th Cinderella Classic & Challenge – April 9

Wine and bikes, what more do you need? This bicycle tour is for women of all ages to tour Amador, Livermore, Diablo, and San Ramon Valleys. Take a leisurely bike ride through many of the beautiful Livermore vineyards.

2nd Annual Livermore Valley Craft Beer Festival – May 14

Don’t like wine but you’re somehow in Wine Country? Not to worry. Beer is also on the menu. This event debuted in 2015, and because it was such a hit with the community and tourists, you can bet Livermore is bringing the beer festival back for a second year. With 25-30 participating breweries, you can have unlimited beer pours while enjoying food from 6-8 vendors and listening to live music in the background.

Livermore Rodeo – June 11 and June 12

This weekend long event showcases the World’s Fasted Rodeo, with a week’s worth of events leading up to it. With Queen and Princess Competitions, a BBQ mixer, a family night, and many more events, you’re sure to find something fun.

4th of July Family Fun Fireworks Celebration

Every town has a 4th of July event, and this one is full of endless celebrations. It’s one of the most exciting Livermore events… and the loudest. Fireworks are launched from the Parking Structure on Railroad Avenue, giving locals and tourists an amazing view of the light show.
