Planning Your Park City Holiday Vacation

If you’re itching to get out West this holiday season, look no further than Park City, Utah. Today we’re going to dive into planning your next, or first, trip to the winter lover’s destination this holiday season and showcase some of the can’t miss events, and things to do while you’re there. Christmas and New Year Activities

Main street is the hub of all activity during the holiday season and is always a buzz with something to do for the whole family, whether the kids want to see Santa, take a break from the slopes with some holiday shopping or just stroll around the decked out Christmas town, we’re certain that your trip to Park City this holiday season will be one you won’t soon forget.

Holiday Window Decorating Contest (Nov. 28- Dec. 19)- The holiday season kicks off with store owners competing to create the best holiday displays the can which are voted on by the public.

Carolers on Main (All Dec.) – Grab a cup of Hot Cocoa and take bundle up as Holiday Carolers walk around the town bringing holiday cheer with Christmas classics.

Lighting Festival (Nov.29)- Experience the awe inspiring lighting ceremony that kicks off December with fantastic lighting arrangements and an electric Christmas light themed parade down main-street.

Cookie and Plate Decorating (Dec. 5)- Bring the kids out to show off their artistic side at the annual Christmas cookie and plate decorating event at Kimball Art Center.

Santa’s Coming to Town (Dec. 13)- Officially welcome Santa to Park City as he makes his way to town down the lift to kick-off the Christmas celebration and talk to the town.

Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long (Dec. 18) –  Head over to the Egyptian theater to join the town in a massive sing along of all the crowd favorite holiday songs.

Ski with Santa (Dec. 23-25) – Santa himself will be out on the slopes delivering presents to all the good Park City boy’s and girl’s around!

New Years Eve (Dec. 31) – Head over to the Ski Beach to party into the new year with skiers from all around, enjoy live DJ performances and a spectacular fireworks show to bring the new year in with a bang!
